Welcome To New York , Diljit Dosanjh & Karan Johar fail At Comedy

Comic timing is not everyone’s bas ki baat. And going by Karan Johar and Diljit Dosanjh’s pathetic failure at at it in the trailer of Welcome To New York , one would say it is better to leave the comedy genre alone.

It just  confirms that we as a nation lack a sense of humour. The trailer of the soon-to-release film is in one word , pathetic  .In two words, trashily pathetic.

The film directed  by Tamil-Telugu director Chakri  Toleti (he made  Unnaipol Oruvan  and Eeenadu , a remake of Neeraj Pandey’s Hindi film, Wednesday ) shows a complete lack of  respect for the audiences’  intellect.

It also shows Diljit Dosanjh trying hard to  be funny in Sonakshi Sinha’s company.A  sample of the humour: Dosanjh meets Sushant Singh Rajput and greets and speaks to him as though he is cricketer Dhoni.

Luckily Dosanjh doesn’t meet Ranveer Singh. Imagine addressing him as Khilji.

If the humour is not even a passing rumour in the trailer we wonder what it would amount to in the film.

And imagine Karan  Johar playing a double role, as if he wasn’t bad enough  playing one  role in Bombay Velvet. In Welcome To  New York Johar plays Karan and Arjun…get it? Finding this  whole thing bearable  would be an ordeal for the audience which  is starved for laughter ,but no sucker  for stupidity.

Our advise  to the team behind this unfunny trailer: show some maturity about your humour. Or else  just don’t touch comedy.
