Following House of the Dragon season 2’s ending in August 2024, it’s been quite some time since HBO has had such a widespread cultural lock on the Sunday night primetime TV slate, with this void finally being filled again by The White Lotus season 3’s February 2025 arrival. However, after only eight episodes, The White Lotus season 3’s characters are already preparing to sail away from the resort – the survivors, that is.

Though The White Lotus season 3’s ending may feel like it’s coming too soon, the 2025 outing’s episode count is an increase from past seasons of Mike White’s popular HBO series. The White Lotus season 1 only had six episodes, with the sophomore outing seeing an increase to seven installments. Still, there are plenty of mysteries and character arcs to neatly wrap up in The White Lotus’ season 3 finale this Sunday, which, thankfully, will also be an extended 90-minute-long episode.

Season 3 Episode 8 Drops At 6pm PT On Sunday, April 6

Maintaining the premiere time from previous episodes, The White Lotus’ season 3 finale releases at 9 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 6 on both HBO and Max. Meanwhile, episode 8 will drop at 6 p.m. PT, 7 p.m. MT, and 8 p.m. CT in other time zones around the United States. In the UK, The White Lotus’ season 3 finale will be released at 2 a.m. BST on Monday, April 7 via Sky.

Since The White Lotus season 3, episode 8 is longer than usual, the finale won’t be over until about 10:30 p.m. ET on Sunday night. While a longer finale means plenty more time with the guests and employees at the Thailand resort, there’s still no word on how long the wait will be after episode 8 for The White Lotus season 4‘s return on HBO.

The Mystery Victim Will Finally Be Revealed

The tension is higher than ever after The White Lotus season 3, episode 7’s ending, with all the major characters being united back at the resort as their conflicts come to a head. The biggest moment to expect in The White Lotus’ season 3 finale is the reveal of who dies amid the gunshots heard in the opening scene. This season began with a flash-forward to the final day of the guests’ stay at the resort, showing Belinda’s son, Zion, in a meditation session when gunshots ring out and he finds a dead body floating in the water.

However, there’s still plenty more that needs to happen before The White Lotus’ season 3 finale gets to that moment. For instance, Tim’s crimes and impending prison sentence will have to be disclosed to the rest of the Ratliff family, Gaitok will need to confront Valentin and his friends about being the thieves from episode 2, Laurie will likely have a more dramatic fallout with Jaclyn and Kate upon her return, Greg will have to decide how to deal with Belinda knowing the truth about Tanya, and Jim will need to confirm the truth about whether he killed Rick’s father.
