Will Abhishek Agree To work With Priyanka Chopra?

Director Shonali Bose wants to bring Priyanka Chopra together with Abhishek Bachchan for her next. But the pairing has a history and is unlikely to happen again no matter how hard Shonali tries.

An undercurrent of hostility runs in the Abhishek-Priyanka rapport since 2005 when they worked together in Bluff Master. The female lead was to be played by Aishwarya Rai. When she was replaced by Priyanka, the vibes between the two actresses affected Abhishek’s rapport with Priyanka for all times to come.

Abhishek and Priyanka did come together in Dostana. But otherwise they’ve constantly refused films with one another. Very recently Priyanka Chopra opted out of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production of a bio-pic on poet Sahir Ludhianvi when Bhansali insisted on Abhishek in the titular role.

But this time it seems likely that Priyanka will stay on in Shonali Bose’s film while Abhishek will leave, as this is a mother-daughter film.

The father’s role is negotiable.
