One year after competing on Hallmark’s first-ever reality competition show, “Finding Mr. Christmas,” winner Ezra Moreland is kicking off filming his second Hallmark Channel movie. The Kansas-born model revealed in an Instagram post on April 15, 2025, that he couldn’t wait to be “back on set.”

After beating out nine other hunky hopefuls on “Finding Mr. Christmas,” which premiered during the holidays on Hallmark+, Moreland’s prize was co-starring with Jessica Lowndes in December’s “Happy Howlidays.” She and his growing fandom celebrated the news, with some hoping for the two to reunite onscreen.

Many Hallmark fans thought the duo’s chemistry was off the charts, even wondering if their joint social media posts promoting the movie hinted at an offscreen romance. One wrote, “Is it a sequel? Asking for um um Me 🤣” and another commented, “is it another with @jessicalowndes ??” Neither Moreland or Lowndes replied to fans’ questions about them reuniting onscreen.

‘Happy Howlidays’ Was Ezra Moreland’s 1st Acting Role

“Happy Howlidays” was not only Moreland’s first movie, but his first acting role, so landing a second movie is a big deal for the former Navy rescue diver.

After winning the competition, Moreland told Entertainment Weekly, he had nearly two months to take acting classes and learn his lines for “Happy Howlidays.” Having never acted before, Moreland told the outlet that the film shoot in Vancouver was “the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but it was amazing and I can’t wait for everybody to see it.”

“Finding Mr. Christmas” co-creator and host Jonathan Bennett has been rooting him on since he won the competition, posting a tribute to the Moreland on his February 26 birthday.

He wrote, “Thank you for always being your true self and making everyone around you say, ‘What on earth is Ezra doing now?’ You bring so much Joy to the World, and your future is Merry and Bright. So proud of you and everything you’ve accomplished since being crowned, we can’t wait to see what you do next.”

“Finding Mr. Christmas” has been renewed for a second season, filming this spring, and will air in 2025 on Hallmark Channel. Given Moreland’s continuing presence will Hallmark, there’s a good chance he’ll make an appearance alongside hosts Bennett and Melissa Peterman.
