With the release date of Rumi Jaffrey’s crime thriller Chehre being announced preponed from April 30 to April 9 internal discussions in the team are on to decide whether Rhea Chakraborty who plays the female lead opposite Emraan Hashmi, should be brought forward to promote the film.
Rhea was at the vortex of a vicious hate campaign last year for Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Out on bail, the actress has been maintaining a low profile. While the film’s director Rumi Jaffrey feels Rhea is ready to face the world, other well-wishers think she would be bombarded with awkward questions were she to come out in public to promote the film.
Best to let Messrs Bachchan and Hashmi promote the film, what say?
