“Working With  Karan Johar Is Like Having Home Food”, Dharmendra

The  legendary Dharmendra has worked  with Karan  Johar for the  first time.

“Kab  shooting shuroo hui kab khatm ho gayi, pataa hi nahi chala(never knew when the  shooting began and ended). The shooting was  like  a breeze,” the legendary Dharmendra is very  happy with Rocky Aur Rani Ki  Prem Kahaani.

Says Dharamji, “I had not worked with  Karan before. Pataa nahin kyon. Bass ek ittefaq. I have worked with almost every brilliant filmmaker in this industry: Bimal Roy, Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Yash Chopra,  Dulal Guha,Ramesh Sippy,Asit Sen, Satyen Bose, J P Dutta. But somehow, I never  got an opportunity  to work with Karan Johar before this.”

Dharamji is impressed by  Karan’s  directorial acumen. “He is  completely clued  into every department of filmmaking. Chahe woh gaane ho ya editing, Karan Johar is  completely into it. Bahot mazaa aaaya  usske saath kaam karke(really enjoyed myself working with him).”

His  costars made the  experience  all the more kosher.  “Whether  it was  Jaya and Shabana, or Ranveer and Alia  , they were all so  warm affectionate and  kind. Bilkul ghar ka mahaul ttha  sets pe.Working on Rocky Aur Rani …was like having home food.”
