Would Saaho Survive The Savage Responses?

While the opening  figures  for Saaho are impressive, a huge slump is expected at  the  boxoffice, specially in the Hindi belt where  audiences have  not taken kindly to the film’s  chaotic shenanigans.

Distributors and exhibitors in  the North expect a  slump  of  nearly  30-35  percent post the weekend

A  North Indian distributor  on  condition of anonymity  reveals, “The  opening first three days were  full in the  advance bookings. We  have reason  for  concern  over what  will happen thereafter, because  the WOM(word of  mouth) and  reviews are  very negative.”

Distributors and exhibitors who  have paid  through their  noses  for  the ‘privilege’ of releasing Saaho fear the  film might see a sudden and steep slump  like Yash Raj Films’  Thugs Of Hindostan and  Karan  Johar’s Kalank.

 On  the  other hand  the  film has already made Rs 110  crores across Indian in four languages  in  the  first three days. Fans  of  Prabhas in South India  may decide  to  see the  film more than once just for their  favourite actor’s sake.

But the  film’s debacle in Hindi is  almost inevitable.
