Bio-pics are the flavour of season. And what better true-life story than the glamorous tennis player Sania Mirza ? Her story has it all…. panache, drama, politics and passion. And she also happens to be a very beautiful woman.
The bio-pic has been long due.According to sources at Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Productions, negotiations are currently on, though the deal is yet to be clenched.
Apparently Sania who has earlier received any number of offers for a bio-pic is being paid the highest amount ever given to an Indian celebrity personality to film his or her story.
Apparently Sania who is on the verge of signing away her life story is being persuaded to play herself in the film.
“Who better equipped to play Sania than Sania. She is beautiful and extremely camera-friendly, Rahi baat acting ki toh kaun apne janam se actor hota hai( as far as acting goes, who is a seasoned actor from birth?)? She will learn. She is a fast learner,” says the source.
Though Sania has not so far said yes to playing herself in the biopic she is being persuaded .The zeroes on the paycheck are likely to help her make up her mind.
We can also tell you that the Sania Mirza bio-pic won’t be a whitewash job like Sanjay Dutt’s Sanju.
“It won’t be a walkover. The film will talk about her marriage to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar and her brush with fundamentalists whose hackles are raised every time she wears a short skirt in the tennis field,” says the source.
