Lee Je Hoon and Yoo Hae Jin’s upcoming film “Big Deal” (literal title“War of Soju”) has unveiled its first official poster!

“Big Deal” follows Jong Rok, a chief financial officer who treats his soju company like family, and In Bum, a profit-driven employee at a global investment firm. Set during the 1997 IMF financial crisis, the two clash over the future of Korea’s beloved national liquor.

The poster features Yoo Hae Jin and Lee Je Hoon alongside soju, which serves as another central focus of the film.

Set in a time when foreign capital began flooding into South Korea, the story centers on Gukbo Soju, a nationally treasured brand known for its unmatched flavor. Now on the verge of bankruptcy, the company draws the attention of Choi In Bum (Lee Je Hoon), a Korean employee at a global investment firm who approaches the company with plans to acquire it.

Standing in his way is Pyo Jong Rok (Yoo Hae Jin), the company’s CFO, who has spent his life building the business and is determined to save it at all costs.

The poster captures the dramatic tension between Pyo Jong Rok, who is committed to protecting the company, and Choi In Bum, who hides his true motives behind a composed façade. It also sparks curiosity about how soju—a drink that has long accompanied the joys and sorrows of Korean life—will play a pivotal role in the film.

“Big Deal” is set to hit theaters on June 3.
