Yoo Hae Jin and Park Hae Il reportedly to reunite in the upcoming film ‘Assassins’

Actors Yoo Hae Jin and Park Hae Il are reportedly set to reunite after 16 years.
On June 5, media outlets reported that Yoo Hae Jin and Park Hae Il have been picked to lead the upcoming film Assassins. According to reports, the two actors are positively considering starring in the film.
Yoo Hae Jin and Park Hae Il’s representatives have yet to respond to the casting reports.
The upcoming K-drama will be the next work of director Hur Jin Ho, who also helmed the works Love in the Big City, A Normal Family, Lost, The Last Princess, and more. Hive Media Corp will produce the upcoming movie.
Assassins will base its story on the 1974 shooting of the first lady, Yuk Young Soo. It will explore the mystery surrounding her death. She was shot by a young Korean-Japanese man in the audience during the President’s congratulatory speech at the 29th National Theater of Korea in Seoul on August 15, 1974.
Yoo Hae Jin got the offer to play the role of the detective investigating the case. Park Hae Il, on the other hand, got the offer to portray the role of the reporter covering the mystery of the case.
This will possibly be the reunion work of Yoo Hae Jin and Park Hae Il. The two previously starred in the 2010 thriller mystery film Moss alongside Jung Jae Young, Jung Kyu Soo, Yoo Sun, Oh Soon Tae, and Kim Sang Ho.
Assassins is currently in the final stages of pre-production and will soon begin filming. The release date of the film is still under discussion.
If Yoo Hae Jin confirms his casting, this will be his fourth upcoming movie.
The actor is set to lead the new movie Big Deal, which will premiere this year. He will also star in the upcoming films Still Life and The Man Who Lives with the King.
Meanwhile, this could also be one of Park Hae Il’s comeback films after a three-year hiatus. The actor will also join the cast of the upcoming movies Weekend Prince and Control.
