Anees Bazmee On Losing  His Art  Director

It  was a  shock for  director Anees Bazmee to  hear that his  Bhool Bhulaiya art director Rajat Poddar  had passed  away  in London.

“Our happiness at the  rousing ovation we received for our teaser  of  Bhool  Bhulaiya 3  evaporated  after the news.Rajat has worked  with  me on several projects, You have to see  the magic he  has created in Bhool Bhulaiya 3,” says  Anees sorrowfully

The teaser of  Anees Bazmee’s Bhoola Bhulaiya 3 has taken the virtual  world by storm, especially for the crackling hissing chemistry  between Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan.

Speaking exclusively to  this writer Anees says, “You would be taken aback by the scenes between  Vidyaji and  Kartik.  Kartik’s growth as an actor from Part  1 to Part 2 of Bhool Bhulaiya is tremendous. He is  definitely one of  our rare all-rounders today.”

Sadly the euphoria over  the response  to the trailer is tempered  by a tragedy.

Says  Anees, “Our very talented production designer  Rajat Poddar has suddenly passed away. He  was in London. Not only  a very talented designer  but also lovely man. I am  still to process his sudden death. I spoke to him just a day before. How can anyone be gone just like that? It is very sobering. Rajat’s passing away is a reminder of  how precious every moment  in  life is.”

Anees says Rajat’s  work in  Bhool Bhulaiya 3 is an eyeopener. “Every frame is  a  work of art. If it wasn’t for  my team  of technicians I wouldn’t be  able to tell the stories I  want to.”
