Bhool Bhulaiya Marches On , Does Better In  Week 3 Than Prithviraj

Dr Chandraprakash  Dwivedi’s Samrat Prithviraj  has  underperformed drastically in most centres. Trade experts who don’t wish to be named, blame  Akshay Kumar  for the debacle. This is  his third debacle in a row after  Bell Bottom and Bachchan Pandey.

Evidently  the letter  ‘B’ is  not lucky for Akshay,  although the numbers for  Bhool Bhulaiya 2 indicate  that   Plan  ‘B’ suits Kartik Aaryan just fine. Bhool Bhulaiya 2 is still drawing in family crowds in the third week in spite of  three  other major releases Samrat  Prithviraj  , Major and Vikram on Friday.

A personnel  from a  leading multiplex chains has some startling information to share  on this weekend’s  boxoffice  collections. “Bhool Bhulaiya 2  in the  third week is ahead  of  Samrat Prithviraj in  the  first week.Samrat Prithviraj’s collections are sobering. It has generated  very little  interest. There was a marginal  upward swing on  Sunday. But  most of the shows  are  going  anti-houseful  on Monday.”

As  for  the  other  two releases  on  Friday, both  Adivi Sesh’s Major and Kamal Haasan’s Vikram show  impressive  boxoffice collections in the South. But are washouts in Hindi.
