Comedy Nights Bachao Does It Again, This Time Makes Fun Of  Rape & Sexual Crimes

The good thing about Colors’  Comedy Nights Bachao is that  not too many people watch its trashy at attempts at humour. But the unfortunate fall-out of the plummeting TRPs is the growing desperation with which the “humour” tries to get our attention.

The episode on Sunday plunged to new depths of  crassness with acoutroom spoof on the much-acclaimed film Pink , the sensitive film about sexual violence, reduced on Comedy Night Bachao to a cheap cheesy  highly offensive gag  that frankly made us gag.

Abhushek Krishna did a takeoff on Amitabh Bachchan’s character of the lawyer.KarishmaTanna played the prime defendant.It was sad to see a woman reduce rape and sexual assault to a mockery.At one point Krishna playing the lawyer was was seen pawing the rape victim in the dock .He also bursts into Kajra re while arguing his case and refers to his wife Kashmera Shah as ‘kachra’(trash).

The description was most apt for the shoddy shameful spoof which trivialized rape and ridiculed victims of sexual assault  while guest Himesh Reshammiya cheered and whistled.

While Channel authorities chose to remain mum on the crass spoof an actor from the Pink team commented, “I haven’t seen this episode. I don’t know of anyone who watches Comedy Nights Bachao. However I will say this. Any show or film that makes fun of issues such as rape and sexual violence must be immediately stopped.”
