Dhoni Gets A Phenomenal Opening

 Neeraj Pandey’s Dhoni: The Untold Story  raked in over 60 crores during its opening weekend, making it the most successful bio-pic of Indian cinema.

It is expected to touch the 100-crore mark  this weekend.

Speaking of the phenomenal opening trade analyst Amod Mehra says, “The grand opening was because of  Dhoni himself. He  is a superstar.Also, the trailer was very interesting . Finally the film was well marketed.”

Adds Atul Mohan,  “ The phenomenal opening can be attributed to only one man Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Its because of Mahi that the film got so much in brand  endorsement,the highest satellite returns and phenomenal opening at the box-office. He is a legend and when he is still active on field the coming of his biopic is very timely. After few years the magic couldn’t have been the same.”

Atul also credits the film’s leading man. “ Sincere efforts by Sushant is visible on screen. He was born for this role and he gave all he had for this one.  All the artist Anupam, Bhoomika did fabulous job. Neeraj as we all know is one of the greatest story tellers of our times. Plus we saw the right marketing strategy by Fox.
Film critic Raja Sen feels an underdog story never fails.  “I think people like watching feelgood stories about real heroes they respect, and Dhoni has earned all of ours. Plus Sushant is spectacular in the role.It’s an acting masterclass and deserves all the applause.”
