Here is Why Ajay Devgan Kept Quiet As Alok Nath Is Back In Business

Last year writer Vinta Nanda and several actresses came forward to accuse ‘character’ actor Alok Nath of inappropriate behaviour.Nanda ‘s allegation is now in court.

But as far as Bollywood is concerned Alok Nath is as free to work and make a living as any other man.

Alok Nath’s strong presence in the trailer of the new Ajay Devgan-Tabu starrer De De Pyar De and Devgan’s refusal to comment on the allegations of sexual misconduct are clear indications that the entertainment industry has forgotten and forgiven.

Says an informed source, “Ajay Devgan is a very powerful man. If he wanted he could have objected to Alok Nath’s presence in the film . Or even if Alok was allowed to be part of the cast Ajay could have responded to the media question of Alok Nath. Instead he chose to brush off the query.”

However a source very close to Devgan has a completely different take to offer. “Ajay feels very strongly on this issue and has made it very clear he won’t work anyone proven guilty of sexual harassment. Hoewever Alok Nath’s matter is in court.Also, Alok was signed for De De Pyar de long before Vinta Nanda accused him of sexual misconduct.”

This source says Devgan won’t work with Alok Nath or any MeToo tainted actor in future.

Bollywood it seems , has decided to turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to the allegations of sexual misconduct.

Significantly Vinta Nanda who has much to say each time Alok Nath’s name comes up chose not to comment this time.
