Kamal Haasan Parts Ways With His Life Partner Gautami

After 13 years of togetherness stellar actor-filmmaker-thinker Kamal Haasan and his long-standing partner , former actress  Gautami Tadimalla have called it quits.

Therein ends one of the most perfect companionships in the South Indian film industry which  endured several hardships including a valiant battle and victory over cancer when Gautami was detected with breast cancer  in 2004.

Fans admirers and friends of the couple are taken completely by surprise by the separation , specially at this time when Kamal Haasan is bed-ridden with a multi-fractured leg.

However close friends say they had saw it coming.

“There were differences growing between them.Gautamiji had made up her mind for some time. She wanted to leave .She  has now found a  new life and  her own accommodation and moved out with her daughter Subbulaxmi. It’s a huge blow for Kamalji . He always  regarded Subbu the same way as he did his own biological daughters Shruti and Akshara.And Subbu is deeply attached to Kamalji. He is shattered by Gautamiji and Subbu’s departure from his life,” says a close friend.

Says another close friend, “For a very long time Kamalji refused to believe Gautamijiwould actually leave. But she was adamant.”

When contacted Kamal Haasan was quiet for a long time .

Then he said,  “Whatever gives her comfort and solace is fine by me.My feelings at the moment are of no importance. What matters is that Gautami and Subbu  should be comfortable and happy.I wish them all the best and want them to know I am there for them whenever they need me. I am blessed with three daughters Shruti , Akshara and Subbulaxmi. I consider myself the luckiest father in the world.”
