NewsBreak: Will Tiger Shroff’s girlfriend Disha Patani play Harshvardhan Kapoor’s girlfriend in Abhinav Bindra biopic?

Anil Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor are coming together to play millionaire tycoon AS Bindra and his son professional shooter Abhinav Bindra (he won the gold at the 10m Air Rifle event at the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008) and the film begins shoot from next month. It’s all very hush-hush and Anil and Harsh are keen to strategize the publicity of the film themselves but we have come to know that three young actresses Disha Patani, Pooja Hegde and Kiara Advani have been shortlisted to play Bindra’s girlfriend in the biopic.Says a source associated to the film, “While Abhinav Bindra does not have a girlfriend in real life as he’s focused on his sports, in the film there will be a fictionalized bit in the story about his (Harshvardhan) girlfriend in the biopic. A young, pretty, bubbly actress is required for the role and currently the producers Anil Kapoor and Prera Arora are finalizing that. Their first choice is Tiger Shroff’s girlfriend Disha Patani as she fits the bill. She’s young, hot and looked great when she played Sushant Singh Rajput’s late girlfriend Priyanka Jha in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. She also won many hearts with her portrayal in the film and stood out well even while given limited screen time. The only film Disha’s signed till now is Baaghi 2 as she’s not part of Student Of The Year 2 so she has dates on hand. Anil and Harsh are keen to approach her for the role. But they have initiated talks with Pooja Hegde in case Disha turns it down. And Kiara Advani is on standby with Pooja. It will be interesting to see who plays Harsh’s girlfriend in the film. The role is not big but is an impactful one.”

On another note the source adds that Harshvardhan has already started prepping for the biopic. “He has met Abhinav Bindra to start his research for the film and is also taking lessons in shooting. Abhinav was the first Indian to win an individual gold medal at the Olympic Games and someone who pushes his limits to achieving his goals. Harsh will also undergo commando training as Abhinav had done before the Beijing Olympics.”
