Lata  Mangeshkar: Yeh  jeevan hai iss jeevan ka yehi hai rang-roop(Piya Ka Ghar),  Koi  lauta de mere beete huey din(Door Gagan Ki ChaonMein) , Dukhi man mere sun mera kehna(Funtoosh) and many more.”

Asha  Bhosle:  “Chingari koi  bhadke(Amar Prem), Zindagi ek safar hai suhana(Andaz), Oh mere  dil ke  chayan(Mere Jeevan Saathi).”

Varun Grover:  “Apart  from the hundreds of Kishore  Kumar’s celebrated songs there are gems that  don’t get that much love.Among these my favourite are  Phir wohi raat hai(Ghar), Chand churake  laya hoon(Devta), Jidhar dekhun teri tasveer nazar aati hai(Mahaan).”

Manoj Muntashir: “Sometimes I feel, duniya me sirf do tarah ki aawazein hain. Ek ‘Kishor’ hai… Baaki sab ‘Shor’ hai. I have to name at least 2 songs as 1 will not do justice to my fannism for the legend.  ‘Kuchh to log kahenge’ (Anar Prem) and ‘Zindagi Ke Safar Me Guzar Jaate Hain Jo Mukaam'(Aap Ki Kasam) are the two unparalleled masterpieces by Kishoreda. ‘Kuchh to Log’ is a very complex composition by Pancham Da( R D Burman) . The way he merges  Raag Khamaj into Kalavati makes it an extremely tricky song to render. But look at the ease Kishor dacroons this song with. ‘Zindagi Ke Safar Me’ to me is the height of philosophy ever cocooned in a mainstream Bollywood song. There were full chances of this song being a dull affair loaded with serious ‘gyan’. But once again, Kishor da played his master stroke. He took a very casual approach to honor one of the finest works of Anand Bakshi and Pancham Da. Result… Philosophy became palatable and eventually achartbuster. The magic of Kishore Kumar lives on.”

Kavita Krishnamurthy: “Yeh  kya hua (Amar Prem) and Humein tumse  pyar kitna(Kudrat)”

Alka Yagnik: “Mere mehboob qayamat hogi(Mr X In Bombay), Oh hansini meri hansini(Zehreela Insaan),  Dil aaj shayar hai(Gambler),Inteha  ho gayi intezaar ki(Sharaabi). The list is endless,  I am a  crazy fan of Kishoreda and  Lata Didi.”

Javed Akhtar: “I like many of Kishore Kumar’s songs. But I was 10 when heard his song Jeevan ke safar mein Raahi miltay hain bichhar Janeko (Munimji) . Since then I have been his ardent admirer. There have been many great singers . I have deep respect for their talent but KishoreKumar ‘ s voice  has a strange magic.”
