The Sonam-Mahira Khan Bonding In Cannes Goes Back A Long way

Sonam’s warm hug for Mahira Khan at the Cannes Film Festival could well be the best poster image of Indo-Pak cultural camaraderie in recent times.

It didn’t happen on an impulse or all of a sudden

Says a source close to Sonam, “Mahira and Sonam have shared warm vibes ever since Sonam co-starred with Mahira’s favourite co-star Fawad Khan in Khubsoorat. Mahira and Sonam got to know one another through Fawad. Then there is the Ranbir Kapoor factor common to both Sonam and Mahira. Both the actresses are known to have been close to Ranbir at one some point in their lives.”

Mahira and Sonam met with the warmth that one notices between artistes from both the countries in recent months. Very recently singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan announced he will be doing a version of Lata Mangeshkar’s song Allah Tero Naam.
