Varun Tej Won’t Be Any Part Of F2 Hindi Remake

The Hindi remake of the Telugu blockbuster F2 won’t repeat the original cast . At least not Varun Tej who plays the younger lead . While Venkatesh who plays the older protagonist and is familiar with Bollywood, has a chance of encoring his role from the original in the remake, Varun Tej won’t be any part of the remake.

This comes as a blow to Tej who’s been hoping to break into Hindi cinema.

Speaking on the project from London director Anees Bazmi says, “It is too early to talk about the cast. But we won’t be working with the same cast as the original.”

For the part played by Varun Tej , it is likely that producer Boney Kapoor’s son Arjun Kapoor may be roped in.

Anees who is currently wrapping up the comedy Paagalpanti says he is excited about doing the Hindi remake of F2. “Boney Kapoor and I go back a very long way. I’ve directed successful films for him in the past like No Entry. For some time now we were planning to come together again. When Boney asked me to remake F2, I asked him to show the film to me. I saw it and loved it. There is a lot of humour in it that can be relocated into Hindi.”

However Anees stresses that the remake would be very different from the original. “We have to rewrite the entire script in keeping with tastes of Hindi audiences.Everything including the cast will change.”
