Will The Current Disturbances In Bangalore Thwart Kalki’s Indo-Pak Plans?

Kalki Kochlin is scheduled to meet Pakistani poetess Miriam Paracha later this week for a poetry session in Bangalore.

But with the city up in flames will the proposed poetic summit materialize?

Informs Kalki, “We are getting together on September 18 in Bangalore . It’s for a mushaira being organized by the the National Youth Poetry Slam(NYPS) . I am a judge along with American poet Sarah Kay.”

Kalki sees the two nations coming together as a matter of great import. “Miriam has already heard of me.But I am not familiar with her work. So I am really looking forward to meeting her. And of course I am a big fan of Sarah Kay. I am very excited and nervous about the event.Let’s see if it happens.”

Fingers crossed.
