“I Am Not Playing Sita,” Keerti Suresh Clears The Air

With Tanhaji  director  Om Raut announcing his Ramayan with Parbhas as  Rama and Saif Ali Khan  as Ravana, speculation has been  rife as  to who will  play Sita in this new-age interpretation  of  the  timeless tale.

The Southern websites have already picked  their  Sita. The lovely Keerti Suresh  who won the National award  for her  performance  in  the Tamil bio-pic Mahaniti.

However  sad as it may seem , Keerti is not playing Sita.

When I  touched base with Keerti she  completely denied playing  Sita  opposite Prabhas’ Rama.

The  other name  being thrown around  for  Sita’s role is Anushka Shetty, Prabhas’ rumoured  girlfriend  . But she is not playing Sita either, as  Prabhas and his  director do not want  Adipurush to look like Baahubali all over  again.

One hears the prime  contender  for  Sita’s role  is  Deepika Padukone. Perfect fit, don’t you think?
