Bhool Bhulaiya 2 Streaming Date  Postponed

Even as  we hear   of  Samrat Prithviraj’s  streaming  premiere being expedited  on  Amazon Prime  Video, news comes  that  the producers  of Bhool Bhulaiya 2 are  re-negotiating the  time-line  between the theatre and  OTT releases  of their blockbuster.

Normally, the space between the  cinemas and OTT is  four weeks. However  the producers of Bhool Bhulaiya 2  have asked their  streaming partner  Netflix  for a window  of  at least eight weeks.

In fact a  source close  to  the project informs that the window may be expanded even more.

“Just eight weeks  won’t be  enough to complete  Bhool Bhulaiya 2’s theatrical journey. The film is getting  stronger and stronger  because of the  unfortunate failure of  the films released  in subsequent weeks after Bhool Bhulaiya 2, like Jayeshbhai Jordaar ,  Samrat Prithviraj  and  Vikram. Bhool Bhulaiya 2 is  showing no signs  of slowing down. It has proven  to be a  fatigue-free fare for  fans  of  fear and  farce.The streaming may be postponed  for  a few more weeks rather than just eight weeks,” a source  informs.

On the  other hand Yash Raj and Aditya  Chopra  the producers of  Samrat Prthiviraj  are pushing for an  early OTT release  of the film to make up for the huge theatrical losses. Sources say, Chopra  likes to keep the window between theatrical and streaming releases open  in his contracts  with Amazon. For Samrat Prithviraj  he has indicated  that the streaming start sooner rather than  later.
