Kartik Aaryan’s Freddy Will Take  Him Where He’s Never Been Before

In Freddy, Kartik Aaryan will play a character unlike any he has played so far. The film required   someone with a sense of mischief and mystery and Kartik fitted the bill perfectly.

“It’s  role with  a touch of the comic  and tragic. It’s  a very challenging role and Kartik Aaryan will be  deep into  rehearsals to get into character. It’s a lighthearted but extremely relevant character that would require a long preparation from Kartik Aaryan,” a source  informs me.

Kartik is more than up to the task. Of late he has been  plunging into parts  that  require  him  to  delve into his dark unexplored  emotional reserves.

Freddy was  to be initially  directed  by Ajay Bahl who has been struggling to  put together  a project  since  he  completed Section 375.  Freddy  is  now  being  directed by Shashanka Ghosh who  has lately directed the  chick flick Veere Di Wedding  .But  in the past  Ghosh has also directed the quirky  crime thriller Waisa  Bhi Hota Hai Part  2. Ghosh also made the wacky Quick Gun Murugan.It’s  the flavor and mood of these early eccentric  films  that Kartik  hopes to recapture  with Shashanka  Ghosh in Freddy.
