Akshay Kumar to play Prithviraj Chauhan
Akshay Kumar is hellbent on making history .And not just with his nearly-unbroken record of hits in recent times, but also by playing real-life heroes from the era gone-by. In director Anurag Singh’s Kesari Akshay stars as the unsung hero HavildarIshar Singh who fought his way through the Battle Of Saragarhi in 1897.
Now Akshay will make history in the role of a legendary warrior. The actor will play the 12th century North-Western King Prithviraj Chauhan who dominated much of Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh during his time and is best remembered for his marriage to the legendary beauty Samyukta.
This epic historic film will be produced by Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films and directed by Dr Chandraprakash Diwediwho has helmed several notable historicals on television(Chanakya, Mahabharat, Upanishads) .
Akshay is currently immersed in the shooting of the fun caper House Full 4. He will begin preparation to play PrithvirajChauhan after he finishes shooting for Anurag Singh’s Kesari.
