Udta Punjab: High Court Asks For Only Shahid’s Pissing Scene To Go!

It looks like  Udta Punjab  will  release on schedule on June 17 after all.The honorable Bombay High Court has asked for just one change  in the film. They’ve asked for the scene showing Shahid Kapoor urinating into a crowd to go.The makers of Udta Punjab have happily agreed to remove that sequence.

Late in the afternoon on Monday the honourable High Court announced that some of the abuses and expletives must go.However most of the language has been left intact.

In the film Shahid Kapoor plays a drug-addicted rock star named Tommy Singh who showers expletives abuses and cuss words in practically every sentence he speaks.

The honourable court states, “ There is no need to assert or incorporate abusive words in every dialogue. ….We are not in agreement that in some films cuss words have been allowed so these should be allowed here too.”

Reacting to this verdict of the honourable court censor chief Pahlaj Nihlani says, “We had requested the producers of Udta Punjab to tone down the abuses. No one speaks as filthily as Shahid Kapoor is shown speaking in the film.”

The honourable High Court has also declared that the film does not question or  threaten the sovereignty  of India  by naming Punjab and its cities in the context of drug abuse.Nor does it encourage drug addiction.

Says the honourable  Court, “We do not find the film questions sovereignty or integrity of India by the names of cities, reference to state or by a signpost.”

This  means  the the title Udta Punjab remains.

The Court also declares that the film has not been made keeping the mind the forthcoming Punjab elections.

Now the film is all set to release on time on June 17.

Relieved beyond belief producer Madhu Mantena said. “This is a big day for not just us, the makers of UdtaPunjab but the entire film industry. We’ve been told by the honourable court that freedom of expression is not to be frowned at.”
