Akshay In Action Hero, A Sign Of The Growing Box Office Insecurities

The decision to rope  in  Akshay Kumar   for a  very special appearance  in  the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer  Action Hero, is  proof of  the growing  anxiety regarding  the falling footfalls in  movie  theatres.

It is  widely  believed   that  with his last  five  films  underperforming at  the  boxoffice it  is no  longer feasible to feature  Khurrana  as  a solo  hero.

“The  decision to  get  Akshay Kumar  into the picture was  very eleventh  hour.Producer  Anand  Rai shares a  very close relationship with Akshay. When  he asked, Akshay readily agreed to do the   guest appearance,” a source  informs.

Let’s  hope  the  star  presence  gives Action Hero that much-needed extra  boost.
