The Eagle Has Landed : Kangana Ranaut Shakes Up Mumbai

  Kangana Ranaut has reached Mumbai, much to the consternation of a certain  politicians  who called her  an unflattering name.  While the  support for the  tirelessly  aggressive  actress  from  political factions including Karni Seva (who generally protest against , and not support Bollywood) is widespread , Kangana’s own film fraternity  doesn’t intend to  show any solidarity  for  the actress.

“Why should we show any support for her when her actions show her to be motivated  by nothing except self-promotion?When Sanjay Raut called her  by an abusive name  I  refused to react.  No one  in the film industry wants to  get into this.I don’t trust  the  right-wing narrative. They don’t raise their voices when their politicians are accused of rape. This is just an excuse to  create more publicity for Ranaut,” says a  politically aware  actress , very active on the social media.

Barring  Ronnie Screwvala   of  RSVP films,  not a single banner, big or small  has signed  Kangana. There is zero  interest    in  working with  the actress. Where  does this leave Kangana? She will  produce her own films, of course. That  apart  she  may  gradually move away from cinema to  an active political career.The  BJP, I am told , is eager to have her on board.

“But  Kanganaji is not agreeable at the moment. We are  willing to wait,” a  BJP  politician tells me.

 Kanganaji, we hear, has had feelers  from the Congress as well.
