No Good Newzz in 2020 either for Akshay. In 2019 Akshay Kumar was brutally trolled for various reasons including his Canadian citizenship . It looks like 2020 too has begun on a sour note for Akshay, with a huge controversy now surrounding an ad that Akshay shot for a detergent powder(Nirma) where he’s shown dressed as a Maratha warrior washing his clothes after a dirty battle.
Outraged sections of people on social media have asked for a boycott of the detergent powder.
While Akshay has declined any comment so far close friends say he will issue a public apology soon for hurting public sentiments.
A prominent filmmaker who was attacked recently for , you guessed it, hurting public sentiments, says apologies have become a way of life for the film industry.
“That’s all we seem to be doing all the time.Apologizing. Because somewhere or the other someone or the other is bound to get hurt by everything we do,” says the filmmaker.
A friend of Akshay says, “He didn’t even dream that the ad would cause any offence. Since last year Akshay is being constantly attacked for the most improbable reasons.”
In the meanwhile sources say the detergent ad is being withdrawn from public space.
