Scene-Hogging Aamir Won’t Stop Bachchan From Stealing The Show
If you’ve been wondering why Amitabh Bachchan has never done a film with Aamir Khan until now here is the answer. In Thugs Of Hindostan, their first film together, Aamir tried to “take over” every scene that he had with the Big B.
A source in the know reveals, “So far Mr Bachchan had avoided being cast with Aamir, as the latter is known to be a chronic scene-hogger.Thugs Of Hindostan was doubly tricky since the director (Vijay Krishna Acharya) had worked earlier with Aamir in Dhoom 3 where Abhishek Bachchan’s role was seriously tampered with, and the climax changed at the last minute to Aamir’s advantage. But the producer Aditya Chopra assured the Senior Bachchan that his role would remain intact.”
However as shooting of Thugs Of Hindostan progressed it became very clear that Aamir meant to dominate every scene he featured in.
Ironically in spite of the blatant scene-hogging tactics it is the Big B’s makeup , voice, dialogues and screen presence which have made the optimum impact in the trailer.
