Vijay Sethupathi-Shahid Kapoor To Lock Horns In Raj-DK’s New Series 4

While the release  of  webseries  The Family Man 2 has been  put on hold, for  Operation Cleanup to avoid a Tandav, Amazon  Prime Video has  instructed its director Raj and DK to go ahead full-throttle with their new untitled series which stars Vijay Sethupathi and ShahidKapoor. This series  will have no political references  at all.

While  Shahid who likes to keep his date  diary uncluttered started shooting for his  webseries debut  at the beginning of February, Vijay Sethupathi who is struggling with dates for multiple  projects,  will join the team later.

Says Vijay, “I like the quirkiness  of Raj and DK’s work. As soon as I heard the subject  and my role  I  knew this  was  the right  vehicle for  my  digital debut.  But it’s  not about the format. It’s  about the  role. Digital  or  big-screen doesn’t matter to me.”

Talking about his digital debut, Shahid Kapoor said, “I have been keen to collaborate with Raj and DK for a while. My favourite Indian show on Amazon Prime Video is The Family Man. I couldn’t think of anyone better for my digital debut than them. I loved the story idea when I first heard it and since then it has been an exciting ride so far! Can’t wait to share this series with the audience.”

Says Raj-DK,  “For us the objective is always to challenge ourselves to do better with every film or series we do.This is our favourite script and has truly been a labour of love. We found a perfect match in Shahid! He was always our first choice for this series. We hit it off immediately, and have been on the same page from the first time we spoke. Shahid is an exciting actor to watch and work with! The intensity he brings to his roles is amazing. And we can’t wait to create this series!”
