Alia Bhatt-Shabana Azmi Allies On The Set

Alia Bhatt, a huge fan of Shabana Azmi, plays the  formidable  actress’ grand daughter   in  Karan  Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

And  Karan is preparing his  darling protégée as to how  she  must do her scenes with Shabana.

“Kyonki Shabana Azmi ne badon-badon  ki  chutti kar di hai. Remember what she   did  to  Smita Patil in Alia’s father’s film(Arth)?” a source close to Karan shared with this writer.

However Shabana Azmi pooh-poohs the idea  of chutti karna.  “Acting is  not a kabaddi match.It’s all about a  team effort. And I  never look at it as an  opportunity to do  chutti karna. It’s very important to have  co-stars who  are on the same page.”

Shabana says  she is  really looking forward  to working with  Alia and Ranveer.  “It’s a first for me. This  is  the  first time I am  working with Karan  Johar, Jaya Bachchan, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. I’ve always been a fan of Jayaji.Ranveer and Alia are extraordinarily  talented. I am looking forward  to working with them.”
